4/25/11

Last week I bought an NcStar upper receiver and scope for my AK-47. After an hour I finally got the thing on. The rest of the week I stayed over at my grandparents and had an airsoft war with my friend.

How I would like to go down in history

I would like to go down in history as the USAF's greatest pilot, or the "Ace Of Aces". I want to be known as the guy who can gun down any other pilot no matter what trick they can pull. I will remember this school 10 years from now but it won't be anything specific. I honestly don't know what people will remember me by.

Reflection

The only challenging part was finding minor comments in the story that were historically accurate. I thought I used my class time wisely, and the only thing I would change about my story would be to finish it.

The time was around 1900. I was the new member of the platoon. We were about half way over Khe San to infiltrate the infamous Hanoi Hilton to rescue the POW's when the chopper began to hover. The pilot gave the platoon leader the thumbs up and told him to jump when ready. The platoon leader backed up and yelled to us "Alright men, were cocked, locked, and ready to rock". then looking over at me he said "Keep your eyes peeled private, we don't want you tripping over any land mines." We grabbed our rifles and jumped out of the helicopter. A couple of minutes had passed and the seemingly peaceful jungle exploded with gunshots. All I could think of was that PT session were the platoon leader decided to ambush us with a forein weapon. After looking back he said "This is the AK-47 assault weapon, the preffered weapon of your enemy. It makes a distinct sound when fired at you. So remember it".

CAP

Last night I promoted to Cadet Senior Airman in the Civil Air Patrol. All I need to do now is to pass a physical fitness and comprehensive exam and then I will become a Cadet Staff Sergeant.
